Building Inspections

The Building Inspections Department monitors compliance with the City of Allen's building codes and ordinances.   They conduct building and facility inspections on newly constructed buildings to make sure that they are safe and suitable for occupancy. The department also has the task of performing health inspections at restaurants and handling environmental concerns.

Construction hours are from 7 a.m to 8 p.m.
(Section 7.08 of the Allen Land Development Code)

Environmental Health Ordinance No. 2940-8-10 is effective.
