Are you passionate about coaching ice hockey? If so, the Allen Community Ice Rink is currently seeking experienced individuals to coach in our youth and adult ice hockey programs. Individuals must possess a strong knowledge of the sport of ice hockey and have effective organizational skills. The services needed include the ability to independently develop and lead ice hockey skills sessions and/or oversee team game play. Individuals must be familiar with the building blocks of the American Development Model (ADM) and be able to implement ADM structure and guidelines into each on-ice session.
Proper USA Hockey certification is preferred for coaches. Ideal certification will be as follows:
This position is defined as a Professional Service Provider and all services to be performed by the selected Professionals shall be in the capacity of an independent contractor, and not as an agent or employee of the City. Background checks will be required of all professionals prior to the beginning of services.

The Allen Community Ice Rink is currently seeking an experienced individual to provide Skate Maintenance & Services. Duties would include sharpening hockey, figure and rental skates. Other desired skills would include waterproofing, blade mounting, rivet replacement & install and skate fittings.

Allen Community Ice Rink is a full- size, state-of-the-art ice surface measuring 85’ by 200’ with a general seating capacity for over 300 spectators. Amenities include locker rooms, equipment shop, meeting rooms, off-ice training areas, and skate rental. An on-ice harness is available as well.
Participate in the the Learn to Skate programs for all types of figure skating and hockey classes. Join a recreational or competitive hockey league, or experience the ice during open skate times.
