Family Bike Day - Saturday, May 21

Join us at Joe Farmer Recreation Center for a day of fun! Families can ride their bikes to JFRC for a bike safety check-up performed by bicycle experts. Kids will enjoy games and learn safe and fun cycling techniques from the local bike advocacy group, Bike DFW.

Saturday Night Rec ‘n Roll

Saturdays, 7 - 11 p.m., Joe Farmer Recreation Center, 1201 E. Bethany

Age: 8-12 years | Cost: $8 - $14

A fun, safe, social program for students in grades 3-6. Nightly activities include gym games, dance music provided by DJ, bounce houses, dodge ball, pool, table tennis, theme nights and contests with prize give-a-ways. Supervision is provided and concessions are available. Party Pack is available for $12. A $5 identification card is required for participation. Pre-registration must be purchased at JFRC before 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event or walk-up fees will be applied starting at 7 p.m. To learn more, call JFRC at 214-509-4750.

About the Facility 

The Joe Farmer Recreation Center has a fitness room, full-size gym, two racquetball courts, walking/jogging track, game room, locker rooms, meeting rooms and a hillside amphitheater. Weight Room Orientations

Are you a member of Joe Farmer Recreation Center and want to increase your comfort level in the fitness area? Join us for a professional advice on current training regimens, learn the basics of cardiovascular training and receive an orientation on the proper usage of the Natilus equipment. Call 214.509.4750 and ask the desk staff for more information.

Advance registration required. Sessions limited to three members.

Membership Information

Annual membership for the Joe Farmer Recreation Center is now open to both residents and non-residents. Adult membership includes full use of the facility including the fitness room. All youth and adult memberships include free use of Ford Pool during the summer season.

Resident rates includes City of Allen citizens and employees working for businesses, corporations and organization in the City of Allen. Proof of residency requires both a current water bill and driver's license. Proof of employment in Allen requires a recent pay check stub.

There is a $5 replacement fee for lost or stolen ID cards. Members will be allowed one guest per visit for a $5 fee.
