The Allen Police Department is proud to announce that for the second year in a row, it has been named as one of CQ Press's City Crime Rankings safest cities out of the 393 cities considered in the study. Allen ranks as #9 nationwide with a population over 75,000 and #7 within its population group (75,000-99,999). Allen was the first city listed in Texas, thus making it the safest city in Texas.
