Request an Accident Report

Requests for a copy of an accident report must be made in person at the Allen Police Station at 205 W. McDermott Drive, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Cost for an accident report is $6. Payment must be made by cash, check, or money order. Cash payments require exact change.

No fax or phone requests are taken. A written request can be made by mail that includes the fee and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Mail requests to: Allen Police Department, Records Unit, 205 W. McDermott Drive, Allen, Texas 75013. Call 214.509.4350 for more information.

Open Records Requests

An open records request must be made in writing to the Allen Police Department. There may be a small fee for the open records, depending upon the information that is requested. You may e-mail your request to: policerecords@cityofallen.org. Apply for a Solicitor's Permit

Solicitor applicants must apply in person at the Allen Police Station at 205 W. McDermott Drive, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

There is a non-refundable $50 fee that must be made by cash, check, or money order. An additional $10 fee per person is charged for processing an ID card.

The permit fee (not ID card fee) is waived for charitable organizations or individuals operating under a license granted by this state. Applicants must bring a driver’s license, or another valid form of US government-issued photo ID. The Police Department will perform a background check on each applicant, in order to help ensure the integrity of solicitors operating within Allen. Upon approval, permits will be issued within 10 working days.

There are two types of permits issued, each with a different expiration date. Door-to-door solicitation permits are approved for 90 days. Permits for promotional material solicitation without specific resident contact are active for 30 days.  Mobile vending operations solicitor permits are active for 30 days.
