The Allen Animal Shelter has undergone a renovation and will host an
Open House on Saturday, January 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As part of the Open House, micro-chipping on cats and dogs for Allen residents will be available for a $20 fee. The fee includes registration with the microchip company, HomeAgain.
Regular Facility Hours:
Monday and Friday: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Field Service Hours:
Monday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday - Friday: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Animal Control Division of the Allen Police Department works to Safeguard our citizens with issues related to domestic animals, wildlife, and livestock.
Our services include rabies prevention, animal bite investigation, education on responsible pet ownership, animal adoption, and caring for stray and unwanted animals.
Animal Control offers tours of the animal shelter, presentations to schools, civic groups, nursing homes, day care centers or any other organization by appointment.
